Emily Wamhof, APCC
Associate Therapist
-
My path to becoming a therapist is deeply rooted in my own lived experiences with therapy and navigating extensive medical procedures related to Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus, and Strabismus. Having personally experienced the impact of compassionate, trauma-informed care, I am passionate about creating a grounded, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to heal and grow.
I work with adult clients, including young adults and older adults, and have extensive experience supporting individuals recovering from substance use, depression, and life stressors. My therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify unhelpful patterns, strengthen self-awareness, rebuild trust in themselves, and feel more empowered throughout their healing journey.
I also have a strong passion for supporting individuals navigating trauma and emotional healing, including those impacted by medical trauma or the emotional effects of a loved one’s health challenges. I value creating a warm, collaborative, and client-centered environment where clients feel heard, understood, and equipped with practical tools to create meaningful and lasting change at their own pace.
